Iris Doyle's goal is to teach young people acceptable social skills, good manners and leadership. The students will learn that having good manners and practicing them will provide that little extra edge of opportunity that will assist them in achieving their goals throughout their lifetime.
The etiquette and dining classes are fun filled and interactive. There are role-playing exercises and a workbook that may be used for future reference. The class interaction and participation helps to build the student's self-esteem and raises their confidence level, which are two important components of leadership.
The classes help prepare young people to be confident and comfortable in any social situation, whether it's introducing others, handshaking or dining across the table from an interviewer. They feel empowered and in control because they know the correct way to behave at the table. They are confident about their napkin etiquette and they know which piece of silverware to pick up first. These are leadership skill that will be with them for the rest of their lives.
